Tour “Georgian wines and dishes”.
Day 1.
– Transfer from the airport.
- Accommodation in a hotel in Tbilisi.
- Dinner at a restaurant, meeting with national dishes and wines, live music and.unforgettable atmosphere will create the right mood for the entire journey.
- Return to hotel.
Day 2.
Sightseeing tour of Tbilisi.
– The Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral (Tsminda Sameba) – the main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
- Fortress Metekhi – the ancient citadel and residence of the Georgian kings on the left bank of the Kura River.
- Narikala Fortress – founded in the 4th century.
- Walking through the historic streets of Old Tbilisi.
- Sioni or Sioni Cathedral (VI-VII century)
- Anchiskhati Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, the oldest remained church in Tbilisi.
- Transfer to Mtskheta – ancient capital of Georgia.
- Mtskheta – the Patriarchal Cathedral, built in 1010-29
- Jvari – Monastery VI. The name can be translated into English as “cross”.
- Feast in a restaurant of Mtskheta with lots of treats, traditional dishes and a wide selection of Georgian wines.
- Transfer to Tbilisi.
- Walk around the city.
- Placing in the hotel.
Day 3.
– Nekresi – monastery complex VI.
- Transfer to the Grammy – an architectural monument of the XVI century – the royal castle.
- Transfer to Tsinandali,V Tsinandali is noble mansion (now a house- museum)of Alexander Chavchavadze, surrounded by beautiful garden.
And of course, it is the place where the Georgian fine wine is produced .
- Visiting the 19th century wine cellars and wine tasting.
- Transfer to Telavi, the capital of Kakheti.
- Accommodation in a guest house and dinner. Introduction to Kakheti cuisine and traditional dishes of eastern Georgia, tasting domestic wines.
Day 4.
– Breakfast in the guesthouse.
- Visit to the museum Erekle II.
- Ikalto-monastery complex and the old Academy (VI-VIIIvv).
- Transfer to Alaverdi.
- Visit to the Monastery Alaverdi (VI cent.) Cathedral dedicated to Saint George monastery (XI c.).
- Visit to the monastery’s wine cellar, where the monks kept monastic special wine.
- Transfer to Bodbe – visit the Cathedral of St. George in Bodbe.
- Transfer to Sighnaghi. This is an ancient fortress city in Kakheti.
- Accommodation in a guest house. Dinner.
Day 5.
– Breakfast in the guesthouse.
- Transfer to Tbilisi.
- Accommodation at the hotel.
- Transfer to Ananuri beautiful ancient fortress, overlooking the picturesque reservoir.
-Outdoor lunch at the restaurant, on the way to Tbilisi. The restaurant is famous for its delicious cuisine and a real Georgian hospitality.
- Return to Tbilisi.
- On Mtatsminda (the holy mountain) is located park, and offers an unforgettable view over the city.
* Visiting Tbilisi sulfur baths, which were mentioned in travel notes of classic literature, by Pushkin and Duma. The oldest of them – Iraklievskaya room, for the possession of which in the XVI century, argued members of the royal family and princes of the Church. Procedure is remarkably useful for the whole body. The baths are located below ground level, on the surface we can see only semi-circular arches o- domes. - Farewell dinner at the Tbilisi restaurant.
- Returning to hotel.
Day 6.
